Hold Still (2020-present)
Artist's statement (in progress):
This series explores the artist's experience of being a parent and the act of trying to hold on to the impermanence of childhood. The brush strokes and disruption of reality represents the quickness of time while the non-disrupted segments refer to the act of preserving memory. These images are a visual interpretation of the artist trying to sketch into her memory the little eyes, ears, laughs, hugs, and voices that will one day grow.
